Account Manager Ophtalmology
Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) is Europe’s leading independent Ophthalmic solutions provider. VOG is a full-service company providing high quality ophthalmic supplies and services used by eye surgeons for surgery and diagnostics. VOG was set up from existing companies to create a full-service European supply and service entity for ophthalmologists with a view to pursuing excellence at all times.
The company was founded in 2015 and the daughter companies have long experiences well before that. The company has a turnover of 700 MSEK and 190 employees. Recently an office was set up in Stockholm to support the coming expansion plans. In April 2021 VOG was bought by the Swedish company AddLife. AddLife is listed on the Stockholm NASDAQ stock exchange. The main markets for VOG are Germany, Schweiz, Austria, Poland, Ireland, UK and other markets in Europe. VOG is now expanding into Sweden and is hiring two Account Managers to be part of the new expansion. The expansion includes creation of a new Swedish distribution company. For AddLife VOG is their only company within the field of ophthalmology and is positioned as a growth platform for the group.
The segment is distribution of intraocular lenses, surgical implants, surgical equipment, services and consumables, customised surgical kits for eye surgery and diagnostics. VOG’s main customers are public and private healthcare sector, hospitals, independent clinics and chain of clinics. VOG has about 50 suppliers and about 15 000 items available for their customers.
The positions are new and part of VOG’s expansion and strategy. Here you have an opportunity to be part of an expanding company and to help people improve their vision, and with that quality of life. You will be working in a modern organisation close to the group leadership team based in Stockholm. You will have contact with specialists in Germany and other competences to provide the customers with information that they may need. You will report to the Country Manager for Scandinavia, based in Stockholm.
The work includes:
Establish the VOG business in Sweden; establish a growing customer base with accounts within both public and private sector.Build brand awareness in Sweden with support of digital marketing and new ways of selling (post-Covid 19)Create new sales leads and develop the business within a defined territory. You will actively approach customers, create leads, participate in different customer activities, and make sure that leads quickly turn into revenuesConsult and guide the customers to the best solutions and services.Create and maintain customer account plans leading towards sustainable revenue growth and high customer retention ratesManage the public tender business.
PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE
You have a relevant education, for example medical or nursing degree, alternatively business degree combined with relevant working experienceYou have worked in sales within the ophthalmic fieldYou are comfortable in having technical discussions with the customers about ophthalmology in general and ophthalmic surgery in particularYou have documented sales resultsYou are used to working with digital tools to support your work processesYour English is proficient, both verbally and in writingIf you know German that is an advantage

One position will be based in Stockholm/Mälardalen, and the other in Malmö/south Sweden.
